I wasn’t always this confident.. As a child I was quiet, insular and painfully shy. The kind of shy that I’d come home if I was playing with a friend and someone else came along. I was happy but timid. 

Fast forward going to secondary school and along came the first reinvention. I knew no-one in the entire school, so I brazened out a next level of confidence like the moment Sandy turned all sassy in Grease. Keep moving forward and I’ve reinvented myself more times than I like to remember.. From becoming a mum to marriage, divorce, gaining weight to losing weight, swapping careers, quitting a guaranteed six figure salary, studying and re-qualifying, I even spent nearly 8 years living in the Middle East.

Each change was a plot twist, sometimes planned, often unexpected but with each I’ve had major learnings and lightbulb moments. 

One of the things I’m known for is my ability to get results, my determination, truth talking and my ‘no settling’ approach to life. And I make no apology for it.

Sure I could keep this to myself and keep raising my game and my life, but I see so many of my colleagues in this industry lacking the support or guidance they deserve. So they plateau in a career when they should be soaring.

I’m frustrated about the added pressure, the isolation and the weight that is increasingly mounting on all of us.. I’m ALL about real support with no judgement, and I want to see more of us succeed. I want us to wake up inspired and yell ‘plot twist’ when we choose without feeling lost, overwhelmed, burnt-out or heaven forbid, selfish.
